MINIMALIST SKINCARE

Frustrated by low quality chemical ingredients disguised with greenwash marketing, Saiint James was launched as a plant-based skin and haircare brand with emphasis on simplicity and results.Saiint James products were thoughtfully designed for busy, modern womxn by eliminating unnecessary steps and using fresh, active botanicals to create powerful blends for naturally glowing skin.

INTENTIONAL PERSPECTIVE

Saiint James was created with a bold and authentic marketing strategy.Many beauty brands today use unrealistic, fear based imagery in their campaigns which capitalize on body shame and insecurities to appeal to the male gaze. Why else would female razor commercials use hairless models?Instead, we believe that womxn choose skin and haircare products to look and feel good for themselves, which is reflected throughout our brand.

CAPSULE COLLECTION

Through extensive research, Saiint James identified 3 key pillars in an effective beauty routine and used this as the core foundation of our product portfolio: cleanse, hydrate, & seal.We put particular emphasis on infusing skin with hydrating ingredients to draw moisture into the cells and make them plump. As a result, the unanimous favorite among beauty influencers was our hydrating toner with grape water, aloe vera, and blue tansy.As a California based company, Saiint James was also one of the first skincare brands to launch an organic, plant-based topical CBD specifically with womxn in mind. This was prior to the permanent federal legalization of industrial hemp, which presented highly unique e-commerce challenges. Ultimately, this CBD body oil became our best selling and most profitable product.

IN THE WILD

Saiint James participated in numerous collaborations with influencers, brands and creative teams located throughout North America including Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Washington DC, and Seattle. This included paid and unpaid promotions on multiple social channels.In May of 2020, Saiint James was featured in an Instagram series about womxn owned brands by Ellevest, a high profile investment platform for women with over 300k followers.

INNER BEAUTY

The underlying philosophy at Saiint James was driven by the belief that all womxn are deserving of self-love and feeling confident and worthy in their own skin.In addition to outer radiance, we believe this personal power can be cultivated through education, achievement, and equal opportunity.As a commitment to these values, Saiint James donated 1% of its profits to organizations dedicated to educating and advancing girls in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics. We also offered a 25% discount to teachers who purchased using their .edu email address.



Closure

While Saiint James started as a side project with big ambitions, we made the difficult decision to cease operations at the end of 2020. Thank you to all of our customers, family, friends, and supporters for the incredible journey.
